Power of Attorney
Planning for later life isn’t something that everyone likes to think about, but ensuring that someone you trust has the legal power to make decisions in your best interests if you are no longer able to do so is an important consideration.
If you lose the mental capacity to be able to make important decisions about your health, welfare or finances without having an existing Lasting Power of Attorney (‘LPA’) in place it can make things very complex and difficult to organise, so it makes sense to take steps now that will make things more straightforward in the future.
